With sales now going towards Pharrell’s album, his ten-week running No.1 song “Happy” looks set to relinquish the top of the Australian charts this coming weekend to a song that has been waiting to take over for the past three weeks, the current No.2 single “Rather Be” by Clean Bandit and Jess Glynne.

We might even have a new No.2 single in the form of David Guetta with “Shot Me Down” featuring Skylar Grey (who’ll be in the country soon), with Sara Bareilles and Coldplay looking to make up the rest of the Top 5 this coming weekend.

Taylor Henderson’s No.5 debut this past week with his new track “When You Were Mine”, should retain it’s Top 10 status, as too 5 Seconds of Summer, whilst we could see three new entries in the form of “The Power of Love” (TW-15) for Gabrielle Aplin, “#SELFIE” (TW-30) by The Chainsmokers and finally “The Man” (TW-12) for Aloe Blacc could break it’s No.11 peak and crack the ten on the next ARIA chart.

After a small step to No.24 this past week, Pitbull and G.R.L. could blast into the Top 15 with “Wild Wild Love”, and after cracking the top twenty at No.20 this week, “High” for Peking Duk looks set for another new peak this weekend. Jessica Mauboy debuted at No.21 with “Never Be the Same”, which could jump into the Top 15, whilst the highest new entry could come in the same region from Calvin Harris and “Summer”, with another potential Top 20 debut coming via Sia and her new song “Chandelier”.

Cody Simpson could land within the Top 30 with his new single “Surfboard”, whilst also landing a thirty-entry could be Duke Dumont featuring Jax Jones on “I Got You”, with the current UK No.1 single for DVBBS (Dubbs) & Borgeous featuring (current tourist) Tinie Tempah with their song “Tsunami (Jump)” also potentially debuting in the same region, boosted by the original version of “Tsunami” (without Tinie) also selling and helping it to enter high.

Skrillex is back with the title track from his debut album entitled “Recess” which looks to be entering within the Top 40, with the current John Martin track “Anywhere for You” (TW-56) possibly moving up into the Top 40. Within the Top 60, Glass Animals looks set for a debut with the track “Gooey”, whilst moving up the charts should be Fitz & The Tantrums with “The Walker” (TW-86), “Turn Down for What” by DJ Snake and Lil’ Jon (TW-81), and local act the Thundamentals with “Something I Said” (TW-92) all up into the Top 70, with more new entries within the same region coming from Little Mix and their cover of “Word Up” (Cameo, 1987/88), and Example with his new track “Kids Again”.

Further entries could come from Ásgeir with his slow-moving song “King and Cross”, a first time entry for the 1965 rendition of “Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)” by Nancy Sinatra (only the Cher version charted here) due to the current high flying version by David Guetta. Sticky Fingers new track “Gold Snafu” could enter within the Top 90 and future tourist (and just announced Logie performers) MKTO could enter with their song “American Dream”. ILUKA could make their first chart entry with “12th of July”, and Kate Miller-Heidke and her teaming with Passenger entitled “Share Your Air” could sneak into the Top 100, whilst just outside at the moment is Harrison Craig with his version of “Beneath Your Beautiful” (Labrinth & Emeli Sande) and Sam Smith with “Money on My Mind”.

Albums:
It’s a tough fight for the No.1 spot on the Australian Albums chart this week, with the front runners being Kylie Minogue’s twelfth studio album “Kiss Me Once”, and the debut album from US electro maestro Skrillex with “Recess” (sample). At the moment Skrillex is a little ahead, but Kylie has multiple version of her album, so they could all add up to a fourth ARIA No.1 album for Kylie.

There are also a couple of other potential high entries in the form of the debut English album for Iceland’s Ásgeir entitled “In the Silence” (his second studio album), and the second album for Foster the People entitled “Supermodel”, whilst we could also see a Top 10 entry from the fourth album from Kate Miller-Heidke “O Vertigo!”. And with five potential new entries, we should also see Pharrell Williams, INXS, Katy Perry and the ‘Frozen’ Soundtrack hold their Top 10 placing.

Gabrielle Aplin could land a Top 20 climb with her debut album “English Rain” (TW-35), and Top 20 new entries could come from Tycho with “Awake”, Blackjack Billy and their EP “Get Some”, plus YG (Young Gangsta) and his debut set “My Krazy Life”. The current Toby Keith tour of Australia could see his 2008 collection “35 Biggest Hits” (Top 30) and his 2013 album “Drinks After Work” (Top 100) return to the ARIA charts this week.

Northern Irish Christian Experimental Rock group Rend Collective could see their fourth album “The Art of Celebration” (atm Top 30) become their first chart entry in Australia, whilst The War on Drugs could see their third album “Lost in the Dream” become their first entry also. George Michael is currently sitting in the Top 40 with his “Symphonica” and due for a Top 50 debut is the self-titled debut album for Morgan Evans.

Christian Metal band Demon Hunter could see their seventh album “Extremist” (Top 60) become their first chart entry here, whilst the collaboration album between rappers Freddie Gibbs and Madlib entitled “Pinata” could also crack the Top 60 this weekend. The Pretty Reckless’ second album “Going to Hell” could enter within the Top 70, whilst further entries could come from Horrorshow and their new EP “Nice Guys Finish Last”, the ‘Veronica Mars’ movie soundtrack and Taking Back Sunday with “Happiness is”.
