Lady Gaga Will Allow Piers Morgan To Interview Her

Lady Gaga has agreed to sit down for an interview with newsman Piers Morgan after he questioned her post-traumatic stress disorder diagnosis claims.

Lady Gaga went public with her health crisis during an interview on U.S. TV show Today earlier this month (Dec16), revealing she has suffered from the condition since being raped at the age of 19.

Gaga also opened up more about her struggles with the disorder in a letter written on her Born This Way Foundation website, but over the weekend (10-11Dec16), outspoken Brit Morgan took to Twitter to question Lady Gaga’s rape claims – and those of Madonna, who also maintains her PTSD issues were sparked by a sexual assault.

“I come from a big military family,” he wrote on Saturday (10Dec16). “It angers me when celebrities start claiming PTSD about everything to promote themselves. Lady Gaga & Madonna have both made ALLEGATIONS of rape many years after the event. No police complaint, no charges, no court case.”

“I don’t think all claims of rape should be necessarily accepted as fact without proper criminal investigation, do you?,” he continued.

“PTSD is a very serious affliction that has started to be flung around by a lot of celebrities,” he wrote.

The 51-year-old was criticised for his remarks and Gaga has now responded to Morgan directly by offering to sit down with him to talk about her ordeal and the work that she has done to raise awareness.

“@piersmorgan I’ve work w/ our VP Joe Biden on helping educate people about why women don’t report, would love to share it w/ you some time (sic),” she wrote on the social media site.

“@piersmorgan would also love to talk with you about PTSD, that it’s not just a military disorder,” she continued. “There is a mental health youth epidemic. @piersmorgan if anyone in your family suffers from it, I pray they have more good days than bad. It has affected me & my whole family.”

Piers has agreed to set up the interview and is now praising the singer for reaching out to him.

“I rather admire @ladygaga for agreeing to an interview after my criticisms,” he wrote. “Should be a fascinating debate.”

However, she has warned him if he keeps attacking her over her claims she will cancel the sit-down.

“@piersmorgan if you continue to shame me in the process of kindly agreeing to interview w/ u (with you) I’ll happily do the interview with someone else,” she added.

Madonna, who opened up about her alleged rape ordeal in 2013, has yet to respond to Piers, her longtime nemesis.

Gaga’s response comes days after she ended her feud with Madonna by praising the female empowerment speech she gave at the Billboard Women in Music Awards on Friday (09Dec16).

“@Madonna your speech at the Billboard Music Awards was inspiring,” she wrote. “You’re so brave & strong. Thanks for being that for us girls we need that.”

Madonna has yet to respond to Gaga’s words of support.
