Lana Del Rey Recycles Iggy Pop Album Title For Lust For Life

by Paul Cashmere on March 30, 2017

in News

Lana Del Rey has reached way back to 1977 to borrow the title of her new album from the Iggy Pop classic ‘Lust For Life’.

Pop’s ‘Lust For Life’ was from his Bowie period. David Bowie produced Iggy Pop’s ‘Lust For Life’ as well as Pop’s previous album ‘The Idiot’ a year earlier and was the keyboard player on the album.

Bowie also re-recorded some of the Pop songs ‘Tonight’ and ‘Neighbourhood Treat’ to give them more mainstream exposure.

Lana Del Rey’s ‘Lust For Life’ will be her fifth album “I made my first 4 albums for me, but this one is for my fans and about where I hope we are all headed,” she said.
