Lili Kendall of Brisbane has won first prize in the Unsigned Only songwriting contest in the USA in the Teen category with her song ‘Move’.
Lili also received a honourable mention for ‘Move’ in Top 40/Pop.
Other Australian winners were Gena Rose Bruce of Melbourne for Jackson, 2nd place in Americana and Liam Burrows of Sydney, 2nd place in Vocal Performance for Skylark.
Judges for Unsigned Only included John Oates of Hall & Oates, Robert Smith of The Cure, Black Francis of The Pixies and Darryl McDaniels of Run DMC.
