Australian singer/songwriter Lior performed his song ‘Safety of Distance’ at the Centenary Dawn Service in Gallipoli, Turkey today.

Lior is in Gallipoli for the 100 year anniversary of the landing in Gallipoli to perform the song at Anzac Cove with the Gallipoli Choir.

“It truly is a privilege to have been invited to perform here at the Centenary Dawn Service in Gallipoli, one which was such an incredibly moving and profound experience,” Lior said in a statement. :To have been given this opportunity to perform “Safety of Distance” accompanied by the Gallipoli choir on such a significant occasion and in such a haunting setting was certainly a once in a lifetime experience I will always treasure.”

Lior originally wrote and recorded the song originally for his 2008 album ‘Corner of an Endless Road’. He re-recorded the song this year for the event in Gallipoli.
