Mariah’s appointment was announced by Fox Entertainment President Kevin Reilly Monday (July 23, 2012).

Jennifer Lopez left the show after a pay dispute for what would have been her third season for the show. JLo received $12 million for her first year and $15 million for her second but Fox drew the line when she stood her ground for $17 million for this year.

Mariah is reported to have signed for $12 million for this season.

Reilly also confirmed that Lopez has 100% left the show.

Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler also left the show this year. His replacement is yet to be announced.
