Melbourne’s Newest Music Festival Is A Weekend In The Gardens

Mick and Anthea Newton, the founders of A Day On The Green, have developed Australia’s newest music festival A Weekend In The Gardens.

A Weekend In The Gardens will be an annual event to take place on the long weekend in March. Roundhouse Entertainment Director Michael Newton said, “Melbourne’s Royal Botanic Gardens is world renowned and we are thrilled to produce what we hope will be some very special concerts for the inaugural event in March and beyond.”

The first three A Weekend In The Gardens events will feature John Farnham on March 10, Boy & Bear on March 11 and Icehouse on March 12.



Robin Penty, Executive Director Public Engagement and Business Development at Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria says, “A WEEKEND In The Gardens is a wonderful new event for our Melbourne Gardens. This concert series is a perfect fit for our new programming focus, welcoming new and diverse audiences to our site at the heart of the city.”
