Michael Paynter Sings In Dry July

Singer songwriter Michael Paynter sang in the official launch of Dry July this week to help raises funds to make the lives of people suffering from cancer a little better.

Michael joined Dry July Executive Directors and co-founders Brett Macdonald and Phil Grove at the breakfast event held at the Waterside Hotel in Melbourne. They hope to raise $4 million this year.

Actors Roy Billing and Michala Banas were also on board to help launch the 2013 Dry July event.

Michael Paytner performed his new song ‘Weary Eyes’ due in July and told of his uncle’s fight with pancreatic cancer.

Cancer survivor Sean Sexton told a brave story about his battle which ended in the removal of his testicles. He now travels the country visiting gyms telling his story, showing his strength and raising money for the cause.

For Dry July, participants simply take a month off alcohol.
