Mick Jagger and Keith Richards guest on separate tracks on the new Buddy Guy album ‘The Blues Is Alive and Well’.

Buddy Guy was previously a special guest of The Rolling Stones in 2006 at the Beacon concerts that became the ‘Shine A Light’ documentary by Martin Scorsese and subsequent live album.

‘The Blues Is Alive and Well’ is the first Buddy Guy album since ‘Born To Play Guitar’ in 2015. That album debuted at no 1 on Billboard’s Blues Chart. 2015 was also the year Buddy was given a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.

The 81-year old blues legend is still playing live. Last week he performed at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.
