The two members of The Rolling Stones have a famously turbulent relationship. They fell out after Keith released his autobiography Life in 2010, which poked fun at Mick.

The two men didn’t talk for a while but made up while they were in New York.

“Looking back at any career you are bound to recall both the highs and the lows. In the 1980s, for instance, Keith and I were not communicating very well. I got very involved with the business side of the Stones, mainly because I felt no one else was interested,” Mick said.

“But it’s plain now from the book that Keith felt excluded, which is a pity. Time, I reckon, to move on.”

It’s a sentiment Keith wholeheartedly agrees with. He hints the pair had a long discussion in which they were able to talk about everything which had gone wrong between them in the past.

“Mick’s right. He and I have had conversations over the last year of a kind we have not had for an extremely long time and that has been incredibly important to me, ” he explained.

“As far as the book goes, it was my story and it was very raw, as I meant it to be. But I know that some parts of it, and some of the publicity, really offended Mick and I regret that.”

In his book, Keith called Mick ‘unbearable’ and also poked fun at his manhood.

The men were speaking while promoting a new documentary about the group, which will focus on their long career.

They went on to reveal they have been practicing together again and hinted they may start laying down new tracks before long.

“We’ll just get the boys back together again then and maybe cut a side,’ Keith is quoted as saying by British newspaper The Mirror. ‘We’re planning to get things going… again.’
