David Bowie and Eagles Continue Chart Impact

Following a week of music tragedy with the death of David Bowie and Eagles’ founder Glenn Frey music fans have revisited their music in bulk over the past week.

Last week David Bowie had 29 albums in the Top 500 and in the second week after his passing 18 Bowie albums are still in the Australian Top 100.

With news of the death of Glenn Frey, Eagles albums have re-entered the chart with Australian fans pushing ‘The Complete Eagles’ into no 14 position and other compilations at no’s 35, 43 and 83 while the reunion album ‘Hell Freezes Over’ is back at no 94 and the classic ‘Hotel California’ re-enters at no 111.
