Singer Ed Sheeran is reportedly earning £63,000 ($136,000) a show during his X tour.

Sheeran embarked on the world tour to promote his hit second album in August 2014 and it will end in December (15). Now Britain’s The Mirror newspaper is reporting that the 24 year old is raking in £63,000 ($97,000) a show and in the first half of his 17 month run he had amassed £6.2 million ($9.5 million).

His tour earnings are detailed in accounts lodged with Companies House and cover the 12 months to the end of March this year (15).

The outlet adds that Ed’s earnings are set to rise further after his concert film Jumpers For Goalposts is released.

The film was shot during his three-night run at London’s Wembley Stadium in the summer in front of a total of 270,000 fans.

By the time his tour will end, he will have played 179 shows in total.

The company accounts reported that Ed had £4.4million ($6.7 million) costs to pay, leaving the business with £2.2million ($3.3 million) in profit.

Ed is an astute businessman as well as a brilliant singer and records for another of his companies were filed earlier this year which showed he earned nearly £3.4million ($5.2 million) from record sales and royalties in 2014 alone.

Ed prides himself on remaining humble despite all the success that has come his way since his debut album was released in 2011 and he has revealed in the past that he keeps to a strict budget.

“I’ve not upgraded because I don’t spend much money,” he said according to the outlet. “If I had all my money in one account I would spend all of it, so I get an allowance. Maybe a grand. I spend most of it on taxis!”

According to the Sunday Times Rich List, Ed is seventh on the list of wealthiest musicians under 30, with a fortune of £20million ($30 million).
