John Paul Young Sings Heartfelt ‘Evie Part 2’ At Stevie Wright Funeral

John Paul Young paid a touching tribute to Stevie Wright performing Stevie’s classic ‘Evie Part 2’ at Wright’s funeral in Sydney on Friday.

Stevie Wright died from complications with pneumonia at Moruya on the south coast of New South Wales on December 27, 2015. He was 68.

Stevie’s family, friends and fans attended his memorial service at St Andrews Cathedral in Sydney on Friday morning. Phil Jamison of Grinspoon, Tom Rogers of You Am I and Easybeats drummer Gordon ‘Snowy’ Fleet were amongst the mourners with Stevie Albert Records labelmate John Paul Young and Aztecs keyboard player Warren Morgan performing ‘Evie’ in honour of Stevie Wright. Morgan was the keyboard player on the original song.
