Matt Corby To Finally Release His Debut Album

Matt Corby has finally announced the release of his debut album almost nine years after competing on Australian Idol.

Corby was a runner-up in Australian Idol 2007 but instead of wandering down the popstar path (which as it turns out was a dead end for everyone from then on you hitched it), Matt decided to do things his own way.

That way was to develop as an independent acoustic singer songwriter. He released his first EP ‘Song For’ in 2009 and since then has had a series of EPs but never an album … until now.

In March 2016 Matt will release ‘Telluric’. The title means “of the Earth”.

Matt wrote and recorded the album at his home in Berry, NSW. “I recorded an album two years ago that I didn’t like. For a lot of reasons I wouldn’t release it. It took me a year and a half to clear my head of everything that happened, accept my failures, reboot and have the balls to do it again,” he said.
