Miley Cyrus uses Christmas as an excuse to eat.
You might not think it from her slender frame, which Miley often shows off in barely-there outfits, but the Wrecking Ball singer is a big fan of food – especially the festive variety. She’ll spend December 25 (15) with her loved ones, and can’t wait for all the food that’s involved.
“I’m going to go home and just chill with my family,” she told MTV of her yuletide plans. “We just use it as an excuse to eat. When you’re a kid the presents are so exciting, but as you get older its feels kind of odd that they’re giving me presents, so then it’s just an eating excuse.”
Miley’s been in the festive mood for some time now, thanks to her role in Netflix show A Very Murray Christmas. The Sofia Coppola directed variety show brings old-school entertainment bang up to date, with a little help from Bill Murray. Miley, 23, is just one of the famous faces featured, with Chris Rock, Michael Cera and George Clooney all popping up too.
Saying yes to the project was a no-brainer for Miley. “Someone rang me up and said Bill Murray wants you to show up and sing some Christmas song with George Clooney,” she recalled. “And I was like, ‘OK, yeah, I’ll be there.’ And it was just so cool to kind of like bring my own style, it’s so fantasy and fun. Honestly, I just wanted to be with Bill Murray.”
