Radiohead Reappear Online With New Song Burn The Witch

Radiohead’s jovial little Internet disappearing trick lasted all of one day. The band is band online with a brand new song ‘Burn The Witch’.

Radiohead’s ‘Burn The Witch’ premiered with an animated video directed by Chris Hopewell and produced by Rosie Lea Brind and it is quite stunning. The animation is along the style of Bob Bura and John Hardwick, the creators of Trumpton, Chigley and Camberwick Green.

‘Burn The Witch’ is the first taste of the first Radiohead album since ‘The King of Limbs’ in 2011. Radiohead has always been in the habit of drip-feeding fans so next to nothing is known about what the album will be like, although Radiohead management suggest it will be “like nothing you’ve ever heard”.

The last new music we actually heard from Radiohead was the unreleased and unused ‘Spectre’ theme. Radiohead submitted a contribution for the theme of the last James Bond movie but it was rejected in favour of the Sam Smith song ‘Writing’s On The Wall’. Radiohead later gave their song away free to fans.
