More details have emerged about the new AC/DC album via Eddie Trunk’s Sirius radio show.

According to Trunk, “The album is done, they went to that studio in Canada and made this record and what people speculated on, that these were riffs and ideas, is more of a tribute to Malcolm Young is true, that Malcolm had a bunch of stuff recorded that they worked off of and sort of incorporated into the record. This is a unity thing that came together to put out some of Malcolm’s music and celebrate AC/DC”.

Trunk also added that they don’t know what to do with this record or when it is coming out and that there are no plans for live shows but there is a recording done.

A caller to the show suggested the album may feature vocals from both Brian Johnson and Axl Rose but that is unconfirmed.

The caller also suggested that Michael Butler of Exodus, and who plays in an AC/DC covers band in the San Francisco area, may be the bass player on the album. Longtime member Cliff Williams retired after the last tour and to date has not been seen during any of the sessions (but neither has Butler).

Brian Johnson joined Paul Rodgers in concert in Oxford in 2017 and performed ‘Money’.
