New Paul McCartney Is Served Up With Meatballs

Paul McCartney has announced that his new song ‘New’ will appear in the animated movie ‘Cloudy With The Chance Of Meatballs 2’.

“I loved watching the first Cloudy with my kids, so I’m very happy to have my new song included in Cloudy 2,” said Sir Paul.

“We’re thrilled and honoured to have Paul’s infectious and inspiring song in the film,” said Lia Vollack, Sony Pictures president. “As soon as we heard ‘New’ we thought that everything about it was perfect.”

‘New’ is the title track from McCartney’s 16th solo album, due next month. For ‘New’, Sir Paul used four producers, Giles Martin, Mark Ronson, Ethan Johns and Paul Epworth to help recapture his original sound.

‘Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs 2’ is the sequel to the first movie in 2009.

The second movie picks up immediately where the first finished, with inventor Flint Lockwood (Bill Hader) forced to leave town after a devastating food storm that adjusts his food machine which now creates humanoid and self-aware pickles, hungry tacodile supremes, shrimpanzees, melonheads, mosquitoasts, watermelophants, and apple pie-thons.

Anna Faris, James Caan and Neil Patrick Harris also voice the characters in the movie.

Devo’s Mark Mothersbaugh has written the score.

‘Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs 2’ will debut on September 27. Paul McCartney ‘New’ will be released on October 15.
