Gingrich has been using the theme from Rocky III at his rallies.

The lawsuit names Gingrich, his company Newt 2012 Inc and the American Conservative Union. It was taken out by Rude Music Inc, a company owned by Frank Sullivan, the ‘Eye of the Tiger’ songwriter.

‘Eye of the Tiger’ was a number one hit single in 1982. The song was written for Rocky III at the request of Sylvester Stallone who had tried unsuccessfully to get the rights to Queen ‘Another One Bites The Dust’ for his movie.

‘Eye of the Tiger’ was the number one song of 1982 in the United States and is currently the number 82 best selling song of all time in the UK.
