Nick Cave and Warren Ellis have scored music for the upcoming docuseries ‘The Case Against Adnan Syed’.

In 2000 Adnan Syed was given a life sentence plus 30 years for the murder of his girlfriend Hae Min Lee in 1999.

Syed has always insisted he was innocent.

In 2014 the trial became subject of the podcast ‘Serial’ which has been downloaded over 100 million times. In 2015, production started on a television adaptation of the podcast based on new evidence the podcast uncovered.

Syed was granted a retrial in 2016 but the retrial is still to take place.

‘The Case Against Adnan Syed’ docuseries is being directed by Amy Berg (Deliver Us From Evil). It is a joint production between HBO and Sky.

Nick Cave is no stranger to soundtracks. Between 1988 and now he has contributed to 20 soundtracks.
