Nick Valensi of The Strokes Has A New Band CRX

The Strokes co-founder and guitarist Nick Valensi has a new band called CRX.

Nick has been active outside The Strokes over the year featuring on albums by Devendra Banhart, Regina Spektor, and Sia. He his the guitarist on Sia’s album ‘We Are Born’ and ‘1000 Forms Of Fear’ and co-wrote and played on the solo album for the B52’s Kate Pierson ‘Guitars and Microphones’.

CRX is a power-pop band featuring Nick on guitar and lead vocals, Ralph Alexander (Soulfly/Machine Head) on drums, Richie Follin (Guards) on guitar, Joe Safley on bass and Darian Zahedi (The Rondelles) on guitar.

The album was recorded at Josh Homme’s Pink Duck Studios in Burbank and mixed by Andrew Scheps (Johnny Cash, Green Day, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Adele).

You will immediately hear The Cars influence on the track ‘Ways To Fake It’.
