Bonnie Raitt will tour Australia in April for Bluesfest Touring, presented by Noise11.com.

Bonnie will tour Australia with her long-time touring band featuring James “Hutch” Hutchinson (bass), Ricky Fataar (drums), and George Marinelli (guitar), along with Mike Finnigan (keyboards).

“I’m feeling pretty charged, and the band and I are at the top of our game,” says Bonnie Raitt. “This period of my life is more exciting and vital than I was expecting, and for that I’m really grateful. At this point, I have a lot less to prove and hey, if you’re not going to ‘Dig In Deep’ now, what’s the point?”

Bonnie’s 17th album ‘Dig In Deep’, released in 2016, has an Australian flavour. She covers the INXS classic ‘Need You Tonight’ on the album.

“I can’t wait to get back out on the road and play these songs,” she continues. “The band has never sounded better… and the best part is that we know how lucky we are to still get to make our livings doing something we love this much.”

Bonnie Raitt will perform at Bluesfest over Easter.

The Damned released the first ever UK punk single, “New Rose” off album Damned, Damned, Damned, in 1976, and were often overshadowed by their English punk counterparts. Now in their late sixties and still touring world-wide, featuring the original line up of Dave Vanian, Captain Sensible, Rat Scabies and Paul Gray, they are the ones having the last laugh and have left their old rivals for dead, in certain respects, quite literally!
