Nominations Now Open For Australian Jazz Bell Awards

Submissions are now open for 15th annual Australian Jazz Bell Awards.

The Australian Jazz Bell Awards recognises excellence in the various styles of Australian jazz music.

There are seven awards:

Best Australian Jazz Vocal Album
Best Australian Instrumental Jazz Album
Best Produced Album
Best Australian Jazz Song of the Year
Best Australian Jazz Ensemble of the Year
Young Australian Jazz Artist of the Year (for musicians up to 25 years old)
Graeme Bell Hall of Fame Award

Jazz musician Albert Dadon (Albare) created the Australian Jazz Bell Awards in 2003 and named the awards after the band leader Graeme Bell.

Graeme attended or sent a video greeting to the awards every year until his death in 2012.

Each of the seven winners will receive $5000 as part of their award. The winners will be announced in 15 May 2017 at Bird’s Basement in Melbourne.
