by Paul Cashmere on July 1, 2014

in Live,News

The Eagles The History of The Eagles shows have been attended by over 1,100,000 people since the tour started in July 2013 and grossed more than $145,000,000.

Longtime manager Irving Azoff commented, “More than a million worldwide fans attending Eagles concerts the past twelve months is a testament to the bands ongoing legacy, stature and songs, that not only stand the test time, but have become anthems for several generations. The band is releasing this touring data information so that those who follow the concert industry have accurate year over year perspective and not arbitrarily bifurcate the highly attended summer concert season as some charts do.”

So far History of the Eagles has visited North America and Europe with Australian show planned for February, 2015.

The shows have been breaking records for the heritage band. In July 2013 alone, the History of the Eagles tour broke several box office records, including:

*  On July 6th the Eagles were the highest grossing act of all time at KFC Yum Center ($2,023,625.00).
*  On July 7th the Eagles’ performance at Milwaukee’s Summerfest was the annual event’s biggest draw ever, with 22,672 tickets sold.
*  12 July Canadian concerts sold 150,000 tickets, grossing more than $17.5 million, and include a performance at the annual Newfoundland and Labrador Salmon Festival, with more than 20,000 fans in attendance.

History of the Eagles began in Louisville, Kentucky on July 6, 2013 and has so far played for 87 concerts including three sold out Madison Square Garden gigs in New York City and six at the new Forum in Inglewood, California.

History of the Eagles features founding member Bernie Leadon back performing with the band.
