Powderfinger have placed their publishing in the hands of Dew Process Publishing.

Long after bands cease to be their music lives on and so does the management of that music in publishing. Publishing is the turnstile for the revenue for the songs and managed correctly generates income for songwriters while they sleep.

The Publisher licences songs for TV shows and movies, places songs in advertisements and collects royalties from music sales and broadcast.

Dew Process Publishing will manage publishing for the first five Powderfinger albums Parables For Wooden Ears, Double Allergic, Internationalist, Odyssey #5 and Vulture Street and represent Dream Days At The Hotel Existence and Golden Rule in Europe, North America and the United Kingdom.

“To have the privilege of being the custodian of these songs is extremely humbling. Powderfinger are one of our country’s most treasured and important songwriters. I am looking forward to continuing to work closely with the ‘Fingers,“ said Dew Process Publishing’s Licensing and A&R Manager Fergus Jenkins.

“Kobalt is excited to extend our relationship with Dew Process and honoured to be representing such an important part of the amazing Powderfinger catalogue.” Simon Moor, Managing Director, Kobalt Music Group Australia.

Dew Process Publishing also represents The John Steel Singers, Last Dinosaurs and Art Of Sleeping.
