The South Korean shot to worldwide fame with his catchy hit Gangnam Style and in September the accompanying clip went down in history as the Most Liked Video on YouTube.

The singer has now received his official certificate and is very excited about having the achievement in writing.

‘I love [the] certificate. It says ‘officially amazing’!’ he enthused to BBC Radio One.

‘This is so touching because there is a certificate! I never got certificates at college!’

The star is signed to Justin Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun, on the Schoolboy Records label.

Following the immense success of his first hit, which saw him rocket to number one all over the world, Psy is anxious his next single goes down just as well.

‘The next one is like [a] nightmare. What if they don’t like [the] next one?’ he pondered.

‘This time I’ve gotta do it on purpose. Last time was not on purpose, and sometimes on purpose is better. I’m done with the new song, I’ve got it in my pocket but I’m not sure if it’s gonna be a worldwide hit. It hasn’t got a name yet.’

Psy received backing from a host of celebrities who endorsed Gangnam Style by posting links on their Twitter pages.

The 34-year-old still remembers how he felt when the track first became a global phenomenon.

‘I released the video on July 15 and then July 20-something I heard a lot of celebs were tweeting like, ‘Watch this, watch this,” he explained.

‘Robbie Williams put it on his blog as well. So it happened, and I realised something big is going on!’
