You expect a great soundtrack from Quentin Tarantino. His ‘Pulp Fiction’ and ‘Reservoir Dogs’ soundtracks stand up alone even if you don’t like the movies. The new one ‘Once Upon A Time In Hollywood’ is as good as those and the best soundtrack since ‘Baby Driver’.

‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ is the last movie to feature Luke Perry, who passed away in March, 2019. It is the ninth movie for Quentin Tarantino.

Music is always a prominent part of Tarantino’s movies but this is his first soundtrack to go full on contemporary since Death Proof in 2009. Prior to that from 1992’s ‘Reservoir Dogs’ to 2004’s 2003’s ‘Kill Bill Vol 1’ the Tarantino soundtracks were precisely curated while ‘Kill Bill Vol 2’ (2004), ‘Inglourious Basterds’ (2009), ‘Django Unchained’ (2012) and ‘The Hateful Eight’ were more orchestrated.
