We have no idea who is showing up for Guns N’ Roses or if they will play, but there is a lot less acrimony in the Faces camp as Kenney Jones has revealed that Rod Stewart will perform with the group at their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The Hall is inducting the group as Small Faces/Faces, which covers a lot of members of the group over the years. Small Faces was originally formed in 1965 by Steve Marriott, Ronnie Lane, Jones and Jimmy Winston, who was replaced a year later by Ian McLagan.

After the group split up in 1969 with Lane, Jones and McLagan joining forces with Rod Stewart for Faces. Rick Wills and Jimmy McCulloch were also part of the group when they reformed for a short time in the late-70’s.

Jones told MusicRadar that Stewart, Jones, Ron Wood and McLagan will perform three songs together at the ceremony.

“Contrary to what some people might think, we’re all still great mates and we’ve never said we wouldn’t play together again,” said Jones. “We all had dinner about a month ago and decided that the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame would be the perfect time and place.

“The last time we rehearsed together was about three years ago at a little place in Bermondsey, the same place where we used to rehearse back in the ’70s, just to see if the magic was still there – and it was. We ended up not doing anything more for a couple of reasons, including Rod’s busy solo schedule and his Vegas commitments, which is why we brought in Mick [Hucknall] for a few dates.”
