On Friday (29 March 2013) the iconic band has added a message to their official website with the simple statement ‘5 DAYS & COUNTING…’.

On Wednesday, The Stones confirmed they would headline the Glastonbury Festival in England on Saturday June 29. Co-incidentally that same day Bill Wyman’s band Rhythm Kings was also announced for Glastonbury.

Mick Jagger tweeted today, “Thanks for all your tweets about Glastonbury. I was thinking about the set list…Any ideas on that?”

The Rolling Stones upcoming world tour will be promoted by AEG Live. In Australia the company owns Allphones Arena in Sydney and the new Perth Arena in Perth.

Charlie Watts and Ron Wood were both active live in the past week. Charlie Watts performed two shows in London last weekend with his jazz band The ABC&D of Boogie Woogie. ABC&D are A: Axel Zwingenberger (piano), B: Ben Waters (piano), C: Charlie Watts (drums) and D: Dave Green (bass).

Ronnie Wood helped out James McCartney for the launch of his album ‘Me’ in London. Ronnie played guitar for the younger McCartney and then James’ dad Sir Paul McCartney joined both James and Ronnie for James’ ‘New York Times’.
