Russell Morris Van Diemen’s Land Makes Top 50 Best Rage Videos

Veteran Australian musician Russell Morris has clocked up another achievement for 2014. He has made the Rage Top 50 Videos of 2014.

The legendary Morris featured at no. 48 on the Rage Top 50 Videos of 2015 with his song ‘Van Diemen’s Land’.

“Many thanks to the fans who voted for my video Van Diemen’s Land for the top 50 videos of the year on RAGE, we snuck in at number 48,” the 66-year old star said in a statement. “With the support of my friends and fans, we have been able to achieve great things this year. Have a safe and fantastic holiday period and let’s do it all again in 2015. Thanks one and all.”

Director Lucas Thyer shot the ‘Van Diemen’s Land’ video in the Central Highlands of Tasmania. It stars actor Richard Sutherland with co-stars Ricky Pfeiffer, Shane Rayner and Steve Morris.

‘Van Diemen’s Land’ was the second Russell Morris is in a trilogy of blues albums telling the story of Australian characters from the past. It peaked at no. 4 on the ARIA Chart and earned Russell and ARIA Award nomination in 2014.
