Anthrax member Scott Ian is a huge fan of the AMC series The Walking Dead so its natural that he would be excited about getting to play a walker on the show.
Ian, with his legendary beard, is unrecognizable on the show, going into full zombie makeup and prosthetics.
Ian, who is a huge nerd in real life (he admits it), says “I’m a massive fan of the show. I just felt like, from the start, ‘God damn it would be the coolest fucking thing if I could get to be a walker.’ Just to see Andrew Lincoln standing there, it’s surreal to watch him kill walkers…and I’m gonna be one of them. I’m just so fucking excited to be part of it.”

Look for Ian, although you may not recognize him, during the second half of the current season.
