Snoop Lion has deemed Miley Cyrus as ‘one of the greatest musicians and personalities of all time’.

The pair appear together on the rapper’s new track Ashtrays and Heartbreaks.

Snoop has gone through a genesis, dropping Snoop Dogg to become a reggae, Rasta-influenced Lion.

Snoop was honoured to have worked with Miley.

He believes she brings a lot of inspiration to the table and dismisses criticism posed against her.

“She loves what I do and I really love what she do, and for us to come together is very bold and courageous,” Snoop told MTV News.

“She was one of the greatest musicians and personalities of all time. People just expect so much from her because they’ve been watching her whole life from a kid. She’s just ready to be an adult and have fun and express herself, and I support her.”

Recently Miley has garnered headlines for going through a rumoured rough patch with her fiancé Liam Hemsworth.

Snoop is no stranger to controversy himself and supports his friend through her life transition.

He believes their mutual metamorphoses made a huge impact on their song together.

“It’s basically what we are both going through right now,” he said. “We’re both going through transformation, we both love making music and doing what we do and speaking from our hearts, and it’s just a great collaboration.”

Ashtrays and Heartbreaks was released earlier this month and Snoop’s new album Reincarnated will hit shelves April 23.
