Raphael Saadiq has summonsed his all-star friends to guest on his first album in eight years ‘Jimmy Lee’.

Solange, John Legend, Mary J. Blige, and D’Angelo all contribute to the record, produced by Saadiq and recorded at Blakeslee Recording Co in North Hollywood.

In the past Saadiq has produced for such artists as Joss Stone, D’Angelo, TLC, En Vogue, Kelis, Mary J. Blige, Ledisi, Whitney Houston, Solange Knowles and John Legend. His last album was ‘Stone Rollin’ in 2011.

The first single from the album is ‘Something Keeps Calling’ with Rob Bacon.
