Spiderbait Reactivate For Australian Shows

Spiderbait will regroup for shows around Australia in August.

Spiderbait released their seventh album last year but are yet to tour it. The dates in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth will be the first shows to showcase the self-titled record.

‘Spiderbait’ the album was the band’s first studio album since ‘Tonight Alright’ in 2004 but lack of promotion kept it a well-hidden secret and it failed to make the Top 100.

The biggest Spiderbait release was the third album ‘Ivy and the Big Apples’ in 1996. The album sold 2x platinum and peaked at number 3 on the Australian album chart.

The biggest Spiderbait hit was the cover of Ram Jam’s ‘Black Betty’ in 2004. It reached number one on the ARIA chart. It was the third highest selling single of 2004.
