Late Show host Stephen Colbert has farewelled alleged sexual predator Bill O’Reilly.
“By moral standards, he was a self-righteous landfill of angry garbage,” Colbert said.
Colbert rose to fame playing O’Reilly on his own comedy talk show. “I owe a lot to Bill O’Reilly,” he said. “I spent over 9 years on television playing a character based on him. Then 12 months in therapy trying to de bloviate myself”.
Colbert has good news for fans of celebrity sexual predators. “In case you are a fan of sexual harassers of people who are TV all the time you still have Donald Trump,” he said.
Bill O’Reilly is hiding in Italy this week. In a bizarre turn of events, he was photographed today shaking hands with the Pope, another sympathiser and protector of sexual predators.
