Stevie Wonder Shares Love Tips

Stevie Wonder doesn’t want people to limit themselves to making love just one way.

The legendary Motown veteran has been in the music business for over 50 years, with many of his songs focusing on love and romance.

Stevie has just become a father for the ninth time, welcoming daughter Nyah with his partner Tomeeka Robyn Bracy in December. He credits his astrological sign with making him such a loving being.

“Relationships bring about experiences – thoughts, emotions, expressions. All of those things create music. We love love. I love love. I make love. I’m a Taurus. It’s a wonderful thing,” Stevie smiled to the American edition of GQ magazine.

“But you have to be able to make love when you’re listening to each other speak, when you’re praising God. Don’t limit yourself to making love just one way.”

When praised as a music icon Stevie was quick to shrug off the title, commenting: “Honestly, I don’t even know what that means. God is the icon.”

However, a look at his chart success shows icon is a fitting title, with the 64-year-old boasting a back catalogue of 26 records. He’s also bagged 25 Grammy awards, as well as a Grammy Lifetime Achievement accolade.

Thinking about his past hits, he reveals some songs remind him of his late mother, while others make him think of US president Barack Obama.

“It’s a given that you’re going to go down memory lane – songs and music always have a memory attached to them. When I sing Isn’t She Lovely, yes, I think about Aisha, my oldest child [the song was written about her birth] but the song also makes me think of Nyah, my newborn daughter. She’s lovely, too,” he smiled.

As well as still performing, Stevie is championing fresh talent in the industry.

He’s a massive fan of Kendrick Lamar and thinks the young star has what it takes for a long career.

“Kendrick Lamar is extremely talented. But not only is he just talented; he has a real concern for the people. The good thing about the young is that they want to fix things. They don’t want to fall into the same ol’ bulls**t,” he stated.
