Susanna Hoffs has released a very interesting acoustic take of Prince’s Take Me With U that she recorded along with a string quartet.

The release is a benefit for the charity Mending Kids which provides critical surgical care for sick children.

This is not the first time around for Hoffs when it comes to Prince. Her band, The Bangles, had their first major hit in 1986 when Prince gave them the song Manic Monday which he had originally written for the band Apollonia 6. The record went on to hit number 2 in both the U.S. and U.K.

Hoffs also has made three albums with Mathew Sweet, Under the Covers volumes 1, 2 and 3, which included covers of songs from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s, respectively. The bonus version of Volume 3 included Prince’s I Would Die 4 U.
