Art-noise legends Swans have added Melbourne and Sydney shows to their appearance at ATP.

Two years back, Michael Gira revived his revered cult project Swans, after a decade apart. In that time, the band have released two studio albums and one live one, reasserting their place as icons of the New York No Wave scene.

The critics have raved about their return, and there was an outpouring of joy from serious music fans when they were announced for the forthcoming ATP Festival curated by The Drones.

Now fans can witness their searing sounds at two sideshows alongside their ATP appearances in February next year.

Tickets go on sale for Frontier members from midday Thursday 13 September from the Frontier Touring website, and to the general public from 9am on Friday 14 September from the venues.
