Australia has a new music festival and this one is heading to Tasmania. A Festival Called Panama will be held in the forests of North-Eastern Tasmania on March 8 and 9, 2014.

The first artist announcement features Charles Bradley, Husky and The Frowning Clouds.

R&B singer Bradley, from Brooklyn in New York, is a Daptones Records artist. Melbourne’s Husky will debut new songs from their next album and Geelong’s The Frowning Clouds are a sixties inspired garage punk band.

Organisers describe the Festival Called Panama as “not the new normal. This event cares about music (deeply), great sound, and your viewing & listening pleasure.
However, the ethos of this event is grounded – not only in quality live performance but also in the entirety of an individual’s festival experience. Panama will be a small, intimate event; seeking to showcase its natural surrounds while generating a sense of community, trust, and respect. This event is as much about you as it
is about anyone”.

The Festival Called Panama will be held at Lonestar Valley, Golconda, Tasmania about 50 minutes from Launceston.
