Taylor Swift’s Alleged Groper Ask Why Police Were Never Informed

The DJ accused of groping Taylor Swift in 2013 has questioned why the alleged incident was never reported to police if he had behaved inappropriately during the meet-and-greet.

Taylor Swift is currently locked in a bitter court battle with David Mueller, who claims he lost his job at Denver, Colorado’s KYGO station after Taylor falsely accused him of touching her butt during a photo opportunity backstage at her concert in the city.

Swift countersued and accused Mueller of sexual assault and battery, and she is seeking a jury trial to resolve the dispute.

A snap of the moment in question was submitted by Taylor’s lawyers as evidence and in October (16), a judge agreed to seal the image until trial, after the star argued it was “extremely personal and sensitive in nature”.

However, it leaked online earlier this month (Nov16), and on Tuesday (29Nov16), Mueller tried to explain what the shot actually showed as he opened up about the incident for the first time on Detroit, Michigan radio show Mojo in the Morning.

During the interview, Mueller was adamant he never came into contact with Taylor’s bottom, although he reveals their hands briefly touched – unintentionally – as they moved closer to pose for the photo, which featured the DJ standing to the singer’s left and his girlfriend Shannon Melcher to the star’s right.

“I’m looking at the photog (sic) and I’m trying to get my right hand behind Taylor…,” he recalled. “I’ve got my hand closed, and my palm down, and I reach behind, toward Taylor. Our hands touched, and our arms crossed, that’s all I remember. It (his right hand) went behind her, and her hand went behind me.”

He continued, “My hand was not touching her body… This is what I can tell you – my hand was never under her skirt, I never grabbed her. My hand was never open…”

Mueller explained if he had “stuck my hand under her skirt and grabbed her bare bottom”, as alleged by Swift and her lawyers, he would have been arrested – and he even contacted a criminal attorney to seek advice after he and his girlfriend were kicked out of the venue.

He then went on to defend his reputation, declaring, “Police never showed up, I didn’t know what to do… I’ve never been in trouble for anything. I’ve never been inappropriate with any women, and both my girlfriend and I were standing outside the arena after they threw us out and we were looking at each other and we didn’t know what to say or do…”

Taylor has yet to respond to Mueller’s radio comments, but in a recent deposition for the case, the musician claimed she “felt violated” by the alleged groping, and “became shocked and withdrawn” the moment she was reportedly touched.

“It was like somebody switched the lights off in my personality,” she added, according to TMZ.com.
