The Angels And The Angels Announce 2013 Dates

2013 is going to be an interesting time for The Angels in Australia. There will be two bands called The Angels on tour at the same time.

This morning Doc Neeson announced he will tour as The Angels with a band made up of former members of the band. At lunchtime, the Brewster’s version of The Angels also announced a tour at the same time.

The Brewster Brothers recently released ‘Take It To The Streets’, the first new album for The Angels since 1997’s ‘Skin and Bone’. ‘Take It To The Streets’ features new lead singer Dave Gleeson, formerly of Screaming Jets.

However Doc’s new version of The Angels also features former members of the band, Bob Spencer, James Morley, Buzz Bidstrup and Jim Hilbun. Spencer was with the band from 1986 to 1992, Buzz joined in 1976 before the band took off nationally, Hilburn was the 1982 replacement for Chris Bailey (who is now with the Brewster’s Angels). Morley joined late 80s and played on the ‘Beyond Salvation’ album.
