The Hi Fi Bar Placed Into Administration

The Hi Fi Bar in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane is reported to have been placed into Administration leaving the future of one of the countries most popular music venues unknown.

The Herald Sun has reported that administrators Romasnis Cant were appointed to the business on Thursday and that operators of the Brisbane venue have been locked out by their landlord.

Gigs scheduled for the Hi Fi Bar over coming days include Kutski (UK) tonight, The Smith Street Band on the 19th and Live Nation gig Tinashe on February 20 in Melbourne, Modeselektor tonight, Infected Mushroom on Saturday and Falling In Reverse and Escape The Fate on February 27 in Sydney and Seth Sentry on February 20, Deltron 3030 on February 25 and Meillencolin on February 27 in Brisbane.

Shows by Courtney Barnett, A$AP Ferg, Against Me and Sticky Fingers all now have a question mark over them. However, the administrator is expected to honour existing booking with creditors are negotiated with.
