2016 has so far been a very active year with 25 different no 1 albums in just 27 weeks. It has also been a good year for Australian acts with 11 Australian albums out the 25 no 1s topping the chart.

David Bowie so far has the fasting selling number one of 2016. Metal has done well too with Violent Soho, Disturbed and Deftones all topping the Australian chart in 2016.
