In the video presentation below, singer Randy says that if you want one “sell a kidney”.

The mysterious avant-garde The Residents formed in Shreveport, Louisiana in 1969. The three members Randy (singer), Bob (guitarist) and Chuck (keyboards) have never been positively identified.

They have released over 60 albums, music videos, short films, 3 CD-ROMs and ten DVDs. The box-set will contain every recording and video from The Residents ever.

The first single for The Residents was ‘Santa Dog’ in 1972. The first album for The Residents was ‘Meet The Residents’ in 1974, a take on The Beatles first US release ‘Meet The Beatles’. Word is Ringo Starr and George Harrison liked it and bought a copy.

The Residents will begin their 2013 Wonder of Weird tour in Austin, Texas on January 13.

The 10 x $100,000 box sets will go on sale on Christmas Day from The Residents website.
