The Temper Trap’s self-titled album has debuted at number one in Australia. Not only that, it was the only album in Australia to sell more than 10,000 units last week.

The Temper Trap’s second album sold just over 11,300 units last week. Regardless, it is a great effort for The Temper Trap, whose debut album ‘Conditions’ peaked at no. 8 on the ARIA chart with only lukewarm support from commercial radio.

The second highest debut came from Slash in no. 2 spot. ‘Apocalyptic Love’ sold around 8,600 units.

Other debuts were ‘Rize of the Fenix by Tenacious D at 6, ‘Two Worlds Collide’ by The McClymonts at 7, ‘Trespassing’ by Adam Lambert at 10, ‘Glee: The Music, The Graduation Album’ at 12, ‘Foundations’, The Medics at 29, ‘Electra Heart’ by Marina and the Diamonds at 32, ‘A Joyful Noise’ by The Gossip at 35 and the self-titled ‘NKOTBSB’ at 38.
