The Tom Waits Teaser Was For A New Video

Tom Waits teased us a week ago with cryptic pics. Now he reveals a new video for ‘Hell Broke Luce’.

Waits posted up a pirate-looking pic last week with ‘Coming August 7” on it, and every outlet started salivating for a new international tour.

Now all has been revealed, with a presser stating, “As most of you guessed, it’s a tour… a tour de force!”

So yeah, it’s actually a video for a new single ‘Hell Broke Luce’ from his most recent album Bad As Me, featuring  Marc Ribot and Keith Richards on guitar, Flea on bass and Casey Waits on drums.

The video was shot by Matt Mahurin and Waits writes, “Kathleen and I envisioned it as an enlightened drill sergeant yelling the hard truths of war to a brand new batch of recruits. The video grew from the gnawing image of a soldier pulling his home, through a battlefield, at the end of a rope.”

He concludes, “I think you will agree, it’s uplifting and fun.” Hmmm. See below.
