Tina Turner Says She Is “Happy To Be An 80 Year Old Woman”

Tina Turner has recorded a video message for fans for her 80th birthday.

“Yes, I’m 80. What did I think, how did I think I would be at 80. Not like this. How is this. I look great, I feel good. I have gone through some very seriously sicknesses that I am overcoming. Its like having a second chance at life. I am happy to be an 80 year old woman,” she said celebrating her 80th.

Ringo Starr also recorded a birthday message for Tina telling fans “Tina is incredible”.

Ronnie Wood called Tina “excitement personified”.

Tina’s musical recently opened on Broadway. ‘Tina’ tells the story of the girl from Nutbush who become one of the world’s biggest soul stars.

Tina Turner’s last album ‘Twenty Four Seven’ was released in 1999.
