Singer/Songwriter Tom Waits is going back on the road for the first time in two years.
Waits has put together a string of gigs in some secluded places, some where he hasn’t been for more than 30 years and some where he has never been before. “We need to go to Tennessee to pick up some fireworks, and someone owes me money in Kentucky,” he said in a statement.
The tour includes his first time in Akron, OH and Detroit where he last played in the 80’s.
His last tour in 2004 sold out within minutes of going on sale.
Waits recently came in 4th place in the list of 100 Best Living Songwriters from Paste magazine.
