As lead vocalist of Spandau Ballet he was responsible for part of the 80s Romantic movement with classics such as ‘Gold’, ‘Only When You Leave’, ‘Lifeline, ‘Through the Barricades’ and ‘True’.

A modern day troubadour asked about his beloved Arsenal [23:10 if you want to skip to it on the interview below] he said “I’m relieved they won [against Tottenham this weekend], we had that God-awful fou par with Villa, but we’ve redeemed ourselves since then we’ve just signed a few new players. Chamberlain’s out for a while which is a shame coz I like him he’s a real good player.”

When asked about Arsenal’s end of season spot Tony said: “Do you know what… I really don’t know. I don’t think you can say. I know what I want. Flamini said the good thing about it is that these players have been there for a long time, so they’ve had time to gel as a team. Because sometimes you can bring in too many and it can destabilize a team.”

“If we win a bit of silverware this season I’ll be over the moon, so good luck.”

Currently busy recording for his new album and promoting his new “Live From Metropolis Studios” CD package Music-News.com caught up with the man with that powerful voice to find out more… more… and even more.

Check out the whole uncut interview below with a true gent and connoisseur of the art.

Tony Hadley Gives Australia A 40th Anniversary Party

This is Tony Hadley’s 40th Anniversary Tour but it covers a lot more than the last 40 years. The oldest song in the set, Frank Sinatra’s ‘One For My Baby’ goes back nearly 80 years. Chuck Berry’s ‘Carol’ is over 60 years old. Yes, it has been 41 years since that first Spandau Ballet album but Tony Hadley is putting this show in context. He is taking it back to where it all started for him.
