Country singer Travis Tritt managed to save his home from major damage after a fire started on his children’s nearby playground.

According to TMZ, Tritt’s mother-in-law called 911 after she came home and saw the playground area in full flame and, according to one report, the pool house. Tritt was at home but not aware of the fire but, when notified, ran outside and held the flames away from the main house with a hose.

Tritt shared a photo of the scene after firefighters put out the blaze on Twitter:

He later posted a second picture showing more of the damage:

Tritt and his wife, Theresa Nelson, have three children, Tyler (17), Tristan (16) and Tarian (11).

Between 1989 and 2007, Tritt had nineteen top ten country hits including the number 1’s Help Me Hold On (1990), Anymore (1991), Can I Trust You With My Heart (1992), Foolish Pride (1994) and Best of Intentions (2000).
